On 28 August, the Federal Council opened the consultation on the revision of the Aviation Act
The protection of existing regional airports is of particular importance to AEROSUISSE: under the current aviation act, the regional airports of Zurich and Geneva are protected as a whole. In order to ensure that the two airports are also subject to a property guarantee in terms of their operational scope, this should be explicitly mentioned in the act. This addition should ensure that the key parameters of airport operations, such as operating hours, cannot be restricted, even in the context of environmental remediation procedures.
